The World Cup has started, and I live with an obsessive soccer fan. This means that for the next few weeks the t.v. will be blasting soccer games so loudly that I will feel like I am right there on the sidelines in Rio De Janeiro. I figured I should go ahead and get in the spirit since I will be a forced participant anyway, so I have decided to make a few Brazilian inspired dishes. I did a little research and came up with a dish that was influenced by Brazil but also that my family would love. The result was amazing!!! This simple and economical version of slow cooker black bean soup freshened up with tomatoes, red onions and a generous squeeze of lime will be on repeat around here this summer!
I served it with this amazing Brazilian Cheese Bread. These little cheese rolls are packed with flavor.
I will be sharing that recipe later in the week!
